United Nations (UN) General Assembly - Universal Health Coverage Declaration
|
|
|
At the UN General Assembly High-Level Meeting on September 21, 2023, world leaders approved a new Political Declaration on “Universal Health Coverage (UHC): expanding our ambition for health and well-being in a post-COVID world”. WFOT collaborated with other international partners on a statement in support of the Declaration. The Declaration promotes the need for all people to receive the health care they need, when and where they need it, without facing financial hardship. The statement builds on a 2019 UN Declaration on the same topic, with stronger language regarding the need for access to rehabilitation services and assistive technology.

New Case Studies

QUEST outlines seven core quality indicators for use in all occupational therapy practice settings. New case studies available in French were recently added to the collection posted on the WFOT website. Go to the WFOT website to review how QUEST was used to develop quality indicators for the following populations:
- Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
- Older adult residential care
- Alzheimer’s disease
- Children’s rehabilitation
A free QUEST online course available from the WFOT Learning Platform helps participants to develop practical knowledge to use QUEST to define quality indicators for their occupational therapy practice.
