WFOT contributed to the development of new wheelchair provision guidelines that aim to support improved access to appropriate wheelchairs for all people in need. The guidelines are relevant for all settings, users and wheelchairs to attain the best outcomes for assessment, fitting, training, and follow up. Go to the WHO website to access the guidelines.

WFOT Bulletin Issue 79:1

The latest issue of the WFOT Bulletin is now online. The issue features a message from WFOT President Samantha Shann on the importance of international occupational therapy education standards for future-proofing our profession. WFOT individual members have free access to the Bulletin through the WFOT website.

New WFOT Website Content

New content on the WFOT website includes guidelines developed by WFOT to promote the development of the occupational therapy profession.

Development of a New Occupational Therapy Entry-level Education Programme

Information and advice for the establishment of new education programmes for occupational therapists. The information complements the content of the WFOT Minimum Standards for the Education of Occupational Therapists (2016).

Occupational Therapy Service Development
Information and guidance regarding the process involved in developing a new occupational therapy service. Links are provided to additional WFOT resources to assist with service development including occupational therapy guiding principles, evaluation tools and case studies.
